15 of My Anticipated Releases of 2017!

Hi guys! I hope your week is good so far!

Sorry about not posting yesterday. It was my first day back from Thanksgiving break and I was swamped with a surprising amount of homework. I also didn’t have any inspiration. However, I’m back today, and I think I’m just going to try to post three times a week, on any day. And on that note, you can expect my ARC review of The Valiant by Lesley Livingston up tomorrow or Thursday, and my wrap-up will be up Friday or Saturday. πŸ™‚

Anyway, I’ll stop rambling. Let’s get into the actual post! πŸ˜‰

Covers won’t be included, because close to half of these don’t have covers yet.

January

1 //Β Windwitch by Susan Dennard (The Witchlands #2) – January 10th

I read Truthwitch over the summer and loved it, so I’m excited to see what Safi, Iseult, and Merik get up to in the sequel. I’m jealous of people that have received the ARC, but only a little over a month until I can get it! πŸ˜‰

2 // Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer & illustrated by Douglas Holgate (Wires and Nerve #1) – January 31st

The Lunar Chronicles is one of my all-time favorite series, so of course I’m excited for this spin-off series! It follows Iko, the android, and it’s actually a graphic novel. It’ll be my very first, because normally I don’t buy or read them. But for some series I’ll do anything, to be honest. πŸ˜€

March

1 // Geekerella by Ashley Poston – March 7th

The title might not be the best, but the synopsis sounds great! It’s a modern retelling of Cinderella, and the main character is a huge nerd. I have high hopes for this one. πŸ™‚

2 // Enemy Exposure by Meghan Rogers (The Raven Files #2) – March 14th

I received an ARC of the first book, Crossing the Line, early last year and loved it much more than I thought I would. It’s an amazing, underrated YA thriller, and I cannot wait to get my hands on this sequel. πŸ˜€

3 // Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor (Strange the Dreamer #1) – March 28th

This was originally set to release on September 27th, the same day as Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge, but got pushed back. I got a sampler at BookCon in May and really enjoyed it, so I really want to read the whole book. Hopefully it’s as good as her Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy! πŸ˜‰

(Also, I’m not sure if it’s international or only in the UK, but the ARC hasΒ gorgeous blue stained pages. *heart eyes*)

April

1 // The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli – April 11th

I recently read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens AgendaΒ and loved it. It was adorable. I’m excited to read another book by Becky, even if I know next to nothing about it. πŸ™‚

2 // Midnight Jewel by Richelle Mead (The Glittering Court #2) – April 25th

I read the first book over the summer right before I read Vampire Academy and was pleasantly surprised. That always seems to happen to me with Richelle’s books. Well, it did, before I became flat-out obsessed. I’m excited for this one because it follows a very mysterious side character from The Glittering Court. πŸ˜€

May

1 // A Court of War and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3) – May 2nd

You probably aren’t surprised by this. I don’t think I can go a post without mentioning SJM or her books in some way. ACOTAR is currently my favorite series of all-time, and the ending of ACOMAF basically crushed my soul. ACOWAR will probably do the same, especially since the acronym spells “war,” and it’s the third in the trilogy. I’m simultaneously hopeful, excited, and terrified. XD

2 // The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan (Trials of Apollo #2) – May 2nd

May 2nd is just a good day in the book community. It’s a Rick Riordan book… need I say more? πŸ˜‰

3 // Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare (The Dark Artifices #2) – May 23rd

After the ending of Lady Midnight, I need this book ASAP. I can’t wait to see what Emma, Jules, and Mark get up to this time! Also, it’s CC… again, do I need to say any more? πŸ˜›

(Omg, a book by each one of my top 3 authors comes out in May. It’s going to be an amazing month! *heart eyes*)

Honorary mention goes to the untitled novella about Chaol that releases June 27th. Nothing I’m really pumped for comes out in June except for this, as far as I’m aware, so I’m happy about this. It’s like a late birthday present to me. πŸ˜›

July

1 // Enigma by Tonya Kuper (SchrΓΆdinger’s Consortium #2) – no specific date yet

Anomaly is one of my top three favorite underrated books, and even though I read it over a year ago and don’t remember much, I’m excited. It’s the final book in the duology, and I can’t wait to read it! πŸ™‚

September

1 // Untitled by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #6) – no specific date yet

Yes, yes, another SJM book. After the ending of Empire of Storms, IΒ need to know what happens! I really hope none of my precious characters die. Especially Fleetfoot… it applies to everyone, but I don’t want the dog to die. >.<

November

1 // The Color Project by Sierra Abrams – November 1st

I don’t really know Sierra personally, but she’s fairly well-known in the bookish Twitter community and she’s self-publishing her first book. I’m really happy for her and the synopsis sounds awesome! πŸ™‚

2 // The Gatlon School for Vigilantes by Marissa Meyer (The Gatlon Trilogy #1) – November 7th

Although I haven’t read Heartless yet, I love Marissa’s books and I’m curious and excited to see what she does on her first venture outside of fairytale retellings! πŸ˜€

unspecified date

1 // Untitled by Michelle Hodkin (The Shaw Confessions #1)

I’m sure you all know how much I loved the Mara Dyer trilogy, and Noah Shaw in particular. So when I found out about a spin-off series that follows him specifically, I was immediately on board! There’s no specific date or even month yet, but I’ll be anxiously awaiting more news. πŸ™‚

I’m sure there are more releases I’ll want to read, like debuts and new series by other authors I’ve enjoyed, but I didn’t want to make this too long. Let me know if you’d be interested in a part two!

And that wraps up this post!

Do we share any anticipated releases? Are there any books you’re excited for that I didn’t mention? If you had to pick three books you were most excited for the release of, what would they be? I’d love to know! Tell me in the comments! πŸ™‚

I’ll be going to bed soon, but I’m going to be playing Super Mario 3D World and/or reading a bit more of The Valiant beforehand. πŸ˜‰ I hope you all have a fabulous day/night!

Until next time…
