Hello! Happy Monday! I mean, no one likes Mondays, but I love writing MMMs and this particular post is very special, so it does sort of make for a happy Monday! ๐
To start the post off, I have 2 special announcements…
1. This is my 250th post on Heir of Glitter!
This isn’t a huge deal, but I just happened to notice when I logged on. I’m pretty sure I forgot to mention my 100th and 200th posts, so when I saw the number on my screen I thought it was worth a mention. ๐
2. On Tuesday, September 13th, Heir of Glitter turned 1 year old!
I honestly don’t know how to process this. I intended to write a big celebratory post, but got caught up in Empire of Storms and my posting frenzy early last week and forgot. Either way, though, this makes me really happy! I don’t remember what inspired me to start my blog last year, but I do remember that I had tried a few other times previously through Weebly and Blogger. None of them worked/lasted, and I think I wanted to try one more time. I had no idea what I was doing and I’m pretty sure I chose a plain white theme. I know I had no knowledge of making a blog aesthetically pleasing or designing graphics or even writing a good post. I threw my introduction together in (probably) under an hour and was proud of it then, but looking back it makes me cringe. XD (If you really want to, you can search for it. I never deleted it.) I had a sporadic posting schedule and didn’t really get any views until around or shortly after Halloween, but that didn’t matter to me then. (It doesn’t now, either.) But anyway, if I were to keep going about the beginnings of my blog, I’d probably ramble forever. The last thing I’m going to say (and the cheesiest, to be honest) is that I never expected for Heir of Glitter to become such a huge part of my life, or for so many friends to come from it. I love blogging so much, more than I thought I ever would, and don’t plan on stopping for a long time. โค
(Picture and character don’tย belong to me.)
On another note, I’m currently reading a book one of my online friends loves, and I’ve wanted to get to for a long time. The friend I’m referring to is Ashleigh, the blogger at A Frolic Through Fiction, and the book in question is The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury.
It’s about a teen girl named Twylla, who can kill people with a single touch. (It’s not like Shatter Me, I promise.) She was whisked away to the castle to be the royal executioner at a fairly young age, therefore abandoning her role as her mother’s apprentice and, later, the next Sin Eater.
I’m roughly 60% through and I like it so far. I was really enjoying it, but I’m not sure I like the plot twist that was just revealed so we’ll have to see if that improves. Either way, though, it’s a unique book and I would recommend it if you haven’t read it! ๐
The last exciting thing I want to mention (well, I think it’s exciting) is that I started making YouTube videos again! Around the time school started last month I got overwhelmed and ended up taking an unplanned month-long hiatus, but finally uploaded a video on Friday when I had no school. It feels great to be filming again, and I’m going to try to put together a video schedule like I did for my blog. ๐ (My channel is a Booktube one, if you weren’t aware / it wasn’t obvious.)
And that wraps up thisย post!
What are you currently reading? How long have you been blogging, or do you plan to start a blog? Do you have a YouTube channel? If not, who are your favorite YouTubers to watch? I’d love to know! Tell me in the comments! ๐
I’m off to read more of The Sin Eater’s Daughter, possibly finish it, and catch up on some videos. ๐ I hope you all have a fabulous day/night! โค
Until next time…
Congrats on 1 year!!! and 250 posts! ๐

Congrats on both milestones, which are both big deals. It takes a lot of commitment to write on a blog and to do so routinely. Happy Bloggiversary!
