My Monday Musings #4 – Changes to Come

Hi guys, and happy Monday! I’m not sure if that’s actually a thing, but I’m trying to be positive so we’re going with it. 😛

You might be wondering: what sort of changes am I talking about? There are two:

1. Today is my last day of summer break. Tomorrow I go back to school. Well, technically, I only have to go in from 8-12 to help with the freshmen first day, and my real first day is Wednesday. Yeah, this shorty is an upperclassman. I have everything ready and I’m about as mentally prepared as I’ll ever be, but I have no idea what to expect. I haven’t met my teachers yet, and I’m not sure how much homework I’ll be getting. I’m taking four honors classes and French 1, but I also have a study hall and am fairly good at multi-tasking. Regardless, I’m expecting less time to read, so I’m glad I’ve read 6 books this month already. I don’t know how many more I’ll get through with my schedule the way it is. So my wrap-ups may not hit double digits anymore, at least not until I have long breaks or next summer, but I’m okay with that. As long as I can still read and blog, I’m okay. 😉

2. And on that note, my blogging schedule will change as well. I’m not going to completely disappear on you guys, but I might not post as frequently. I plan on continuing with these posts every Monday, and will try to also post on Wednesdays and Fridays. Hopefully at least one of those days will be a review, and if I’m lucky there will be another review on a different day each week as well. If everything works out, I’ll still be posting 3-4 times a week, which is still pretty good in my opinion. I think I’ll just have to use the scheduling tool more often. 😉

But enough technical stuff.

I just started Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard. I’m not far in so I don’t really have any opinions yet, but I think it’ll be good. I loved Truthwitch, so I think I’ll love this one as well. 🙂

I mentioned last week that I was obsessed with Cooking with Kat, a cooking series Kat from Katytastic does on her vlog channel. That hasn’t changed, and honestly, those videos are what I love watching most. I really am obsessed. XD

And because I can’t think of anything else interesting to write, I’m going to wrap up this week’s MMM now. 😛

What are you currently reading? Are there any specific posts you’d like to see on my blog? Do you watch Cooking with Kat? I’d love to know! Tell me in the comments! 🙂

I’m off to read and write some more posts. 😉 I hope you all have a fabulous day/night! ❤

Until next time…

HOG post end

  1. How was your first day?!? (even if it wasn’t a real first day but still) I hope you enjoy French! I took it for three years but had a ridiculous teacher (like, absolutely ridiculous shouldn’t have been teaching was fired because my friend fell out the window but should have been fired long before that– and my friend is totally fine) and didn’t retain anything, LOL.

I’m not eager to go back to school and start slowing down on my reading, especially considering I just got out of a book slump. Posting 3-4 times a week is pretty great, though!

I keep meaning to read something by Susan Dennard. I have both Truthwitch and Something Strange and Deadly but haven’t picked up either, yet. I look forward to seeing your review.

    1. My volunteer day yesterday went well! I’m getting ready for my first real day now and I think it’ll be good. 😉
I hope I enjoy French too! Hopefully my teacher is better than yours! 😛
I don’t think anyone wants to really go back to school and read less, to be honest. I hope your slump doesn’t come back when you start school! >.<
Truthwitch is an amazing book, and I'd definitely recommend it! I'm halfway through SS&D and it's good so far but not blowing my mind. 😉
