My Monday Musings #2 – Noah Shaw and The End of Summer

Hi guys! It’s Monday again, so I’m back with another MMM. I really hope you guys are liking this feature, because I am! It’s a casual way for me to update you all and just chat. πŸ™‚

So without further ado, let’s get into it!

The title of this blog post sounds like a MG or YA book. I mean, there’s Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief, and Magnus Chase and The Sword of Summer. My post title would fit right in: Noah Shaw and The End of Summer. If we’re going off my second example, I’m really close! They both have a name followed by five words, and both of them include “summer.”

But it’s not a title of anything, except this post, because:

  1. Who would want to read about the end of summer? As far as I know, nobody wants school to start up again, so… Unless it’s about an apocalypse that happened at the end of summer, I wouldn’t read it. XD
  2. If it was a title, it would be my title, and for it to be my title, I would’ve had to make the character. Obviously, Noah Shaw is not a character I created. I wish he was, but he’s not. *shrug*

Noah Shaw was created by Michelle Hodkin, and this is relevant because I’m currently reading The Evolution of Mara Dyer. If you’ve read my review for the first bookΒ and/or watched my book talk, you’ll know I kind of love Noah. I didn’t think I could love him anymore, but the first *approximately* 50 pages of the second book proved me wrong. He’s seriously the best. This whole trilogy is the best, honestly. I know I haven’t even finished the second book, but when I started, I was hooked from the beginning… for the second time in a row. I foresee this trilogy becoming one of my all-time favorites, and settingΒ incredibly very high standards for any other psychological thrillers I might read. If you’ve read the first book and haven’t continued, you definitely should! And if you haven’t read any books in this trilogy yet, you definitely, definitely should! I promise you won’t be disappointed! πŸ˜€Β Now I’m going to stop sounding like an advertiser on TV that annoys everyone.

TEOMD

And now on to the other thing I wanted to mention in this post: the end of summer. As of today, I have two weeks left before I start school. I have very mixed feelings about it, but that’s a story for another post. I signed up for four honors classes and French I, so I have no idea how busy I’ll be or how much work I’ll be assigned. Therefore, I have no idea what my posting schedule will be like once school starts. I’ll keep doing MMM, and might start doing TTT more regularly as well. Other than that, reviews will be posted as usual, and most likely, other things too. I don’t intend to stop posting, but it might be a bit more infrequent. Or I’ll get into scheduling posts each weekend. I’m not sure yet – I just wanted to let you all know. πŸ™‚

And that wraps up this week’s MMM!

What are you currently reading? Do you love the Mara Dyer trilogy as much as I do? When do you start school, or have you already started? I’d love to know! πŸ™‚

I’m off to play a bit of Splatoon and marathon The Evolution of Mara Dyer. πŸ˜€ I hope you all have a fabulous day/night! ❀

Until next time…

  1. You’re making me want to get to The Evolution of Mara Dyer sooner! Which is probably a good thing, because I leave series ages haha πŸ˜† Love your new design by the way! (might be a bit late me saying that, I’ve only just seen it on my laptop rather than phone haha!)
