Summer Lovin’ Book Tag!

Hi guys! I have a little under three weeks left before I go back to school, so I thought I’d take advantage of my remaining time and do this fun little tag! 😀

This was created by a Booktuber (original video), but I was inspired to do it after seeing Jen at Myriad Inklings do it. She’s a huge inspiration to me for both blogging and bookstagram, so if you haven’t followed her yet, you should! 😉

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get into the tag!

1. Start of summer – pick a book with an attention-grabbing first sentence.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer starts off with a letter from Mara, full of unusual information, and it had me immediately intrigued. 😀

2. Too hot to go out – pick a book for a day in.

Kids of Appetite isn’t out until September, but it’s a quick, unique, and captivating contemporary inspired by The Outsiders. What’s not to love? ❤

3. Summer road trip – pick a book you’d take with you on the road.

anna and tfk

Anna and the French Kiss makes me want to go to Paris so badly. Even if you’re not going to Paris, it’s a quick, fluffy read and perfect for traveling. 🙂

4. Iced tea goodness – pick a book with a cold setting.

The Iron Daughter wasn’t for me, but the first part of it takes place in the Winter court of the fae, so it counts. 😉

5. Nasty sunburn – pick a book you really disliked (so far) this year.

I read To Kill a Mockingbird at the very beginning of the year for my Honors English class and couldn’t stand it. If you like it, that’s awesome, but classics in general aren’t for me. 🙂

6. Sizzling read – recommend one of your favorite books.

Unicorn Tracks definitely deserves more love. I was sent it for review earlier this month and loved it. It’s about unicorns and a forbidden love between two girls in a fantasy world based on Africa, and I think it’s kind of similar to Disney’s Tarzan. What’s not to love? 😀

I’m not sure who has or hasn’t done this, and who still does tags, so I’m not tagging anyone in particular. If you want to do this, I tag you! 🙂

And that wraps up the tag!

I’m off to read more of The Rose Society. I’m liking it so far, but it hasn’t blown me away yet. 😉 I hope you all have a fabulous day/night! ❤

Until next time…

  1. What a fun tag! If I have time before the summer ends I think I’ll be doing this tag.

Also, (since I’ve been absent from the internet shame on me), I haven’t had the chance to let you know how much I adore your new blog design! It’s fantastic!
