3 Reasons I Haven’t Posted (I’m Sorry!)

Hi guys! School ended for me a few (three?) weeks ago, and at the time I promised frequent posting. Last week I was on a roll…with reviews. Now it’s been four days since my last post, and I wanted to give you guys a heads-up as to 1) why that is and 2) why it might happen more. 😁

1. I haven’t had ideas. I don’t want to start posting quick, meaningless things that took me twenty minutes to write. I want to post fun, interactive things that take a bit of time. I don’t want blogging to be a chore I have to come up with ideas for. I want it to be a relaxing leisure activity that I look forward to. 😉 (Who doesn’t?)

I also haven’t been able to log on to the computer. It only started today, so I’m writing this on my phone. But it’s still a reason, right? 😌

2. All I’ve wanted to do is read. Any real bookworm should be able to understand this one. It doesn’t help that recently I’ve obtained a LOT of very hyped books that I’ve been (figuratively) dying to read. 😜

Well, that’s not ALL I’ve wanted to do. I’ve also been trying to balance reading and…the last thing. 🙂

3. I started writing my first book. After attending a local author panel for day two of B&N Teen Book Fest on Saturday, I was inspired to finally start something of my own. Everyone and their unicorn has told me I should try writing (read: my family, online friends, author friends, and my fourth grade teacher), so I am. All I’ll say about my book, though, is that it’s a YA contemporary stand-alone about a girl that is diagnosed with amnesia. There might also be a girl-girl romance involved. 😏

Chapter one is already finished, and (if the computer lets me) I’ll start two tomorrow. Currently, I’m not sharing my story on any social platforms. 🤗

So, with all of that going on (#3 in particular), hopefully you guys understand why I might be less active. I don’t want to be, but unfortunately I can’t do everything. 🙁

Either way, I still want to talk to you guys! How is/was your day? What are you doing / what did you do? What are you currently reading? Would you be interested in me posting excerpts of my writing here? I’d love to know! 🙂

That’s all I have for now. I’m off to continue reading Six of Crows (I finally am!!) and maybe play a video game. I hope you’re all having a fabulous day/night! ❤️

  1. I know how you feel, I’ve also haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been working on a big project, but I’m looking forward to getting back to WP 🙂

  2. I was like that for a while – posting felt like a chore …. So I binge watched gossip girl instead of reading. Ooooo… A book! I have always played around with the idea of writing a book because everyone I know tells me to write one too… But I don’t think I am imaginative enough. I am going to try and use NaNo as a tester this year 😂😂

    1. I always thought the same thing. I could think of a million ideas but I was never able to turn them into more. Now I’m just going with it to see what happens. But I did purposely decide to do a contemporary instead of try to create a whole fantasy world. 😂

    1. Thank you! ❤️ I recently read Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. I’m reading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo now. In the next few weeks I plan to read Truthwitch by Susan Dennard, The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken, Illuminae by Amie Kaufman + Jay Kristoff, and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin, to name a few. 😉
