Hi guys! It’s been a while since I’ve done a tag and I think they’re really fun, so I decided to do a few in between reviews. ๐ (That rhymed! ๐ )
I wasn’t tagged by anyone to do this, but it seemed interesting and I’ve literally seen it all over other blogs and on BookTube. So I’m doing it anyway! ๐
All answers are my own personal opinions. You don’t have to agree but please be respectful.
1. An over-hyped book.
Situation:ย Youโre in a store when the zombie apocalypse hits. The military informs everyone that over-hyped books are the zombies’ only weakness. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you disliked do you start chucking at the zombies?
DON’T HURT ME. I was really excited to finally read this series and find out why everyone loves it, but I couldn’t get into the story and I didn’t like the characters. I DNF’d The Raven Boys halfway through. *hides* XD
2. A sequel.
Situation: A torrential downpour.ย What sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to protect yourself?
I really enjoyed The 5th Wave, but this one fell extremely short. I won’t be reading the last book in the trilogy, so I guess this is the sequel I would use as an umbrella. *nervous smile*
3. A classic.
Situation:ย Youโre in English class and your professor raves about a classic that โtranscends timeโ. If given the opportunity to travel back in time, which classic would you try to stop from ever publishing?
Again, DON’T HURT ME. I get that so many people love this book, but it just really wasn’t my bar of chocolate. In my English class, I heard that Harper Lee originally threw the manuscript for this book out her window and it landed in a puddle. Personally, I wish she had left it there. (Her agent made her get it; she would’ve left it.) o.o *runs away* haha
4. A least favorite book.
Situation: Global warming means a suddenly frozen wasteland. Your only hope of survival for warmth is to burn a book. Which book will you not regret lighting?
I wouldn’t want to burn any book, but I don’t feel as bad about this one because it has very mixed reviews. I didn’t like it. I thought it was aimless and boring, and DNF’d it about halfway through. >.<
I tag:
Ashleigh @ A Frolic Through Fiction
and anyone else who wants to. ๐
And that’s all for now!
What’s one popular book you didn’t like / have no interest in? I’d love to know! ๐
I’m off to read!ย Shocking, I know. I hope you all have a fantastic day/night! โค
Until next time…
I had the same feelings towards We were liars!!!

It’s too bad you didn’t like it! I’m glad someone agrees with me though. ๐

Still think it’s sad how you didn’t like The Raven Boys as much as everyone else (myself included) but hey – no book is for everyone, right? ๐ At least you know now that it isn’t the sort of book you’d go for.
I feel the same about The Infinite Sea. When I read it, I kind of enjoyed it but was also quite disappointed because The 5th Wave was one of my favourite books. This one just sort of felt “meh, ok” rather than the “I LOVE IT” feeling I had with the first book.
PS. thanks for tagging me!

I’m sad I didn’t like it, too! I was looking so forward to it. But you’re right, no book is for everyone. ๐
I’m glad someone agrees about my opinion on The Infinite Sea! I was disappointed after loving the first book. Do you think you’ll read The Last Star? ๐
You’re welcome! ๐

I’m not entirely sure about The Last Star. I want to read it, to finish off the series and see if it’ll redeem itself, but I read the other books so long ago, I don’t know if I’ll be interested anymore! What’re you thinking about it?

I don’t think I will. I wasn’t thrilled by TIS and I have plenty of other books to read. ๐
