Hi guys! I kind of can’t believe it’s May already. But I’m not going to complain, because there are only about 16 days left of school, and I leave for Chicago in a week and a half! ๐
But anyway, that’s not the point of this post. I’m here to share the books I read in April, the books I obtained in April, and the books I hope to read in May! There won’t be a blog section (13 posts in April) or a life section, because not much has happened. (Also, this post will probably be long enough without me rambling about my life, haha.)
So without further ado, let’s get into it! ๐
April Wrap-Up
I read a total of 6 books in April. I think that makes it my worst of the year so far, but I’m still happy. I got to read, didn’t I? ๐
1. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennanย โ 3 out of 5 stars
2. Tell The Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennanย โ 4ยพ out of 5 stars
3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maasย โ 5 out of 5 stars
4. The Infinite Sea by Rick Yanceyย โ 2 out of 5 stars
5. A Darker Shade of Sorcery by William Collinsย โ 3 out of 5 stars
6. To Hear The Ocean Sigh by Bryant A. Loneyย โ 4 out of 5 stars
My favorite read this month was definitely ACOTAR. *heart eyes emoji*
This puts me at 26% for my Goodreads challenge, or 34 out of 130 books. ๐
April Haul
I somehow managed to acquire 9 books in April. ๐ฏ
1. The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey (The 5th Wave #1)ย โ This is actually the only book I bought. ๐ [read]
2. Tell The Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennanย โ I won this in a giveaway on the publisher’s Instagram. ๐ [read]
3. A Darker Shade of Sorcery by William Collins (The Realmers #1)ย โ I was sent a Kindle copy for review by the author. ๐ *noisemaker emoji* [read]
4. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (Miss Peregrine’s #1)ย โ I was given a special edition by a friend of mine. ๐ [read]
5. Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson #1)ย โ A gift from the same friend. ๐ [read]
6. Symptoms of Being Human by Jeff Garvinย โ A gift from the same friend. ๐ [read]
7. Revenge and the Wild by Michelle Modestoย โ A gift from the same friend. ๐ [unread]
8. Kingdom of Ashes by Rhiannon Thomas (A Wicked Thing #2)ย โ A gift from the same friend. ๐ [unread]
9. To Hear The Ocean Sigh by Bryant A. Loneyย โ I was sent a Kindle copy for review by the publisher. ๐ [read]
I thought I would be good in April and get very few or no books, but this happened anyway. XD I can’t wait to see how many books I get at BookCon! *heart eyes emoji*
May TBR
I’m hoping to read 5 books this month. Ideally it would be more, but I want to have a lenient goal because I don’t know what I’ll get at BookCon. ๐
1. Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck (The Tiger Saga #1)ย โ I just started this last night and I love it! I’m only 53 pages in though. ๐
2. Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Lux #1.5)ย โ I bought this e-book on sale for $1 in February (I think) and haven’t gotten around to it. ๐ณ I’m really excited to, though, because I love Lux and this is the first three books in Daemon’s POV! ๐
3. Blackheath by Gabriella Lepore (The Blackheath Witches #1)ย โ I bought this e-book the same day as Oblivion and haven’t read it either. ๐ณ It sounds interesting, though. ๐
4. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas (A Court of Thorns and Roses #2)ย โ This doesn’t even come out until Tuesday, but I pre-ordered it yesterday. I’m putting whatever I might be reading at the time on hold until I finish this, once it gets to me. ๐
5. The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan (The Trials of Apollo #1)ย โ This doesn’t come out until Tuesday either, but I really want to read it. I probably won’t get it on release day, but my goal is to just get it by the end of the month. ๐
I’m definitely the most excited about ACOMAF. I want it now! XD *heart eyes emoji*
And that’s all for this post! ๐
How many books did you read in April? What was your favorite? How many did you buy? What are you most excited to read this month? I’d love to know! ๐
I’m off to eat breakfast and continue reading Tiger’s Curse. I hope you all have a great day/night! โค
Until next time…
I’m so enamored with your reading choices for April. I’ve been wanting to read a S.R. Brennan book and, from the looks of it, will not be starting with Unspoken. ๐ ACOTAR is one of those books that I cannot seem to get around to reading. It’s still way down my TBR. Are you thinking I should move it up?

If you want to read Unspoken go for it! You might like it more than I did. ๐ I adored ACOTAR! I would definitely say move it up! ๐ Happy reading!

Was ACOTAR super lovey-dovey. What did you like about it most?

There was romance, but I didn’t think it was overwhelming. I loved that it was a Beauty and the Beast retelling but in a world of Fae, and the main character Feyre is epic. I could go on. XD
