Hi guys! I’m back with my first monthly wrap-up of 2016! π
One of my bookish/blogging resolutions for the year is to do wrap-ups each month, so that’s exactly what I’m doing. This’ll be split into 3 parts: books, blog, and life. π Let’s get started!
Books
I read a total of 8 books this month! I’m happy with that, especially since my second semester of school started. π My month was very mixed.
1. The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare – 2Β½ out of 5 stars
2. Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout – 5 out of 5 stars
3. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey – 4ΒΎ out of 5 stars
4. Isla and The Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins – 4Β½ out of 5 stars
5. Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo – 4 out of 5 stars
6. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire SΓ‘enz – 2ΒΌ out of 5 stars
7. Redwall by Brian Jacques – 3 out of 5 stars
8. Shades of Earth by Beth Revis – 4Β½ out of 5 stars
Blog
I posted 29 things this month (excluding this) and I would link them all, but I won’t because I’m lazy I want to get back to reading Opposition. XD But seriously, if you’re interested, there’s an archives widget on the sidebar.
I’ve made a new friend and she just started her blog yesterday. I’m really excited to talk with her more and see her blog grow. πΒ Melanie @ It’s a Bookish Thing
I’m only 5 away from having 100 followers! When I started this blog back in September, I never imagined it would really go anywhere, so seeing the stats amaze me! I’ve never cared about the numbers, but I’m in awe of them. Thanks in advance!! π *end of Swiss cheesiness*
Life
My second semester of school started. I moved up to an advanced class and since then have had a lot more work to do, which is why I only read 8 books. I sign up for my classes for next year tomorrow, because apparently it’s necessary to do so really early. Maybe because making schedules takes a long time? I don’t know. But that’s happening. π
A couple of weeks ago I got the stomach flu and missed 3 days of school. I recovered over the weekend, then returned to school and got a lot of make-up work. Then I got the stomach flu again a few days later, but luckily it only lasted for a day and I only missed a half day of school. I was fully recovered by Friday (the most recent one). π
I started making book character aesthetics. So far I’ve made one for Amy from Across The Universe and Katy from Lux. I have plans to make one for Daemon, each of The Lunar Chronicles gang, each of the Throne of Glass crew, and the Hogwarts houses, along with one for the main character(s) of each book I read. π If you’re interested, you can find the two I have made on my Instagram.
There’s more I could mention, but I don’t want to ramble and/or be boring, so I’ll stop here. π
That’s all for my January wrap-up! Expect my February TBR and Opposition review to be posted tomorrow. π
How many books did you read this month? What was your favorite? I’d love to know! π
I read 7 books this month and I loved almost all of them. β€

I was only able to read 3 books this month. They were all great but I’ll have to say Dragonfly in Amber was the best π

I’d love to see your character aesthetics, but I don’t have Instagram! Do you have a tumblr that it links to where I could see them? I’m new here, and your blog seems awesome, by the way!

I unfortunately don’t have a tumblr! Do you have Twitter? I post them on my Twitter as well, but you might have to search. Sorry. π¦ But thank you and welcome to WordPress! π
