Hi guys! I was tagged by Bri @ Paperback Bri to do this. Thanks Bri! 😀
For once I don’t have much to say, so I’ll just dive right into the tag. 😉
Opening Credits: favorite childhood book
Before I picked up Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone when I was six, I was addicted to these books. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals. I also remember reading Junie B., Magic Tree House, and The Babysitter’s Club.
Waking Up: a book that got you out of a reading slump
I’ve been lucky enough to never experience a reading slump that I can remember. Even after reading not-so-good books, I just started another and kept going. I think this fairly uncommon for the bookworm community, but I guess I’m just lucky. Are you in a similar position?
School: a book you had to read for school that you ended up loving
I’m reading this right now in my English class and I love it. I could sing praise for it from the rooftops. I’ll definitely have to buy my own copy.
Just kidding, I can’t stand that book. XD
This is my real answer. I read this a couple of years ago for school and I absolutely fell in love with it. I literally bought my own copy a few weeks later, then got the movie for Christmas. Now I own this edition and the platinum edition. ❤
Falling In Love: an author you love so much that you want to read all of their books
I could’ve listed a ton of authors, but I think these are my top three: Sarah J. Maas, Cassandra Clare, and Rick Riordan. I’ve read all the books Cassandra and Rick have released so far, and only have two books of Sarah’s left to read. And I’m getting new books from all three of them this year! 😀
Also, I think I’m meeting Sarah at BookCon in May! Not very many YA authors have signed up yet but there’s still plenty of time for more to. If Cassandra and Rick sign up, I’ll be in heaven. ❤ (although it will be crazy there haha)
Fight: a book with the best action sequences
The Lunar Chronicles and Throne of Glass both have epic action that kept me on the edge of my seat. 😀
Break Up: a book or series you didn’t and don’t intend to finish
If you know me you probably guessed this. XD I read this book and was very disappointed by the second half, so I have no intention of reading the other two books in the trilogy.
Hanging With Friends: a book you think everyone should read
I adore this series! It’s an amazing modern take on the Persephone myth and I think more people should read it. 😀 (I’m a mythology nerd, can you tell? XD )
Breakdown: a book that seriously affected you / made you cry
A book that made me cry? That’s a foreign concept. I have a heart of stone over here. XD
Seriously, though. I don’t cry when I read. I cry over lots of other things, but not books.
Road Trip: your favorite series (3+ books)
I adore all of these. ❤
Getting Back Together: a book you keep rereading
I don’t reread very many books because my TBR is so big. 254 books to be precise. I want to lower it significantly. 😉 But I would reread any of the series mentioned in the last question, The Goddess Test, or Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge.
Wedding: a book that’s really special to you
These are all part of my collection of signed books. Having a book signed by Sarah is just amazing and it’s one of my favorite series. Anomaly and Control are both signed and personalized with sweet messages from when I met Tonya and Lydia last November. ❤
Moment Of Triumph: the longest book you’ve read
Order of the Phoenix is the longest book I’ve read at 870 pages, but Winter is a fairly close second at 824. For now. XD
Death Scene: a book or series you wish had ended differently
I thought the ending was unrealistic and I wish Alina had ended up with someone else. I love the trilogy but I just think it could’ve ended a bit better. 🙂
Funeral: book or series with the best or worst epilogue
I’m not sure if this book actually had an epilogue, but I wasn’t happy with it. It wasn’t the worst ending, but I think it left a lot to be desired.
End Credits: who do you tag?
anyone else who wants to!
This was a lot of fun! 😀 Do you agree with any of my answers? Feel free to tell me in the comments!
