Totally Should’ve Book Tag!

Hi guys! I saw this tag on Kat’s channel, Katytastic and thought it would be fun to do here. 😀

Let’s get down to business (to defeat the Huns!). ♬ Sorry not sorry. I’m a Disney nerd. XD (and in case you feel the urge to watch the video, here you go; you’re welcome)

Anyway…

1 // Totally should’ve gotten a sequel.

I’m going to go with The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan because I really want to know what happened to everyone. I’ve heard we find out in The Hidden Oracle, but it was a bit disappointing before I knew about this book. And since it’s about Apollo, it won’t be incredibly detailed, most likely.

2 // Totally should’ve had a spin-off series.

The first thing that popped into my head was The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I want to get a series with a book for each main character before the series takes place. We’re getting prequel-sequel novellas in Stars Above and I’m thrilled for that, but only so much can be explored in a novella.

3 // An author who totally should write more books.

Tahereh Mafi and Wendy Higgins. I loved the Shatter Me trilogy and the Sweet Evil trilogy. I need more Warnette from Tahereh and more Kaina from Wendy. Or new books. Or both. Yes, both would be great. XD

4 // A character who totally should’ve ended up with someone else.

Um… I’m not sure. So far a character hasn’t ended up with someone I don’t like. Not that I can remember anyway.

5 // Totally should’ve ended differently.

I’m going to go with Dream A Little Dream by Kerstin Gier. I loved the first half, but the second half was really cliché and irritating to me.

6 // Totally should’ve had a movie franchise.

Either The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer or Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. They’re both amazing and I think they’d be great movie franchises if they were done properly. 😀

7 // Totally should’ve had a TV show.

I’m going to say The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. So far I love Shadowhunters (yes, even though I’ve only watched the pilot) and I think if the same people did it, it would be amazing. Especially with the right actors and actresses! 😀

8 // Totally should’ve had only one point of view.

Definitely Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Or, at least, I wish it only had Simon’s and Baz’s perspective. I think there were just too many and it was a bit overwhelming at times, even with the characters’ names at the start of each chapter.

9 // Totally should have a cover change.

Shades of Earth by Beth Revis. I haven’t read it yet but I got it from the library and it bugs me. The first two have spacey covers and this one doesn’t. Maybe it could be a green planet or something..? I’m not sure but I think it would be better. 🙂

10 // Totally should’ve kept the original covers.

Movie covers in general. I’ve always preferred the originals over the movie remakes. 🙂

11 / Totally should’ve stopped at book one.

I don’t know if this counts because I haven’t read the other two books, but the Silver trilogy by Kerstin Gier. The first book is Dream A Little Dream and like I said, the second half was a disappointment. I don’t think it gets better.

And those are my answers! Do you agree with them or would you answer differently? Feel free to tell me in the comments! 🙂
