Thanks to my friend Ashleigh (A Frolic Through Fiction) for tagging me! 😀
I don’t really listen to Christmas songs, but I love to randomly sing parts of them and am still familiar with several. XD Let’s get started! *featured image from Ashleigh*
“You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” – Name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love.
Sebastian Morgenstern. He’s evil but I loved reading about him in The Mortal Instruments, particularly in City of Heavenly Fire. 😀
“All I Want for Christmas is You” – Which book to you most hope to see under your Christmas tree?
Technically I’m cheating because this is four books, but I really hope I get the other four Throne of Glass books in hardcover because I only own Queen of Shadows.
“Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” – Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.
Aelin Ashryver Galathynius from Throne of Glass. She’s been through so much, will be through so much more, and she’s nineteen. The best part is that she can still be so confident, even after everything and in light of everything she’ll have to do. ❤
“Santa Claus is Coming to Town”
a) Which character do you think would be on the top of the naughty list?
Adelina Amouteru from The Young Elites. She’s the main character, and yet she’s the villain as well. Need I say more? XD
b) Which character do you think would be at the top of the nice list?
For this, I’m going to steal Ashleigh’s answer and say Hazel Levesque from Heroes of Olympus. I don’t think she was ever mean to anyone!
“Frosty the Snowman” – Which book just melts your heart?
I’m not really sure on this one, but I’m going to say The Outsiders. It’s a brilliant book altogether, but the second half and especially the ending is full of feels. It gets me every time! (although even that hasn’t made me cry)
“Feliz Navidad” – Choose a book that takes place in a country other than your own.
The first thing that popped into my head was The Infernal Devices series, which takes place in Victorian England. So I’ll go with that. XD
“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” – Which holiday themed book do you use to spread the Christmas joy?
I don’t really have an answer for this. I haven’t read many holiday themed books, just books with sections set during the holidays. Maybe My True Love Gave To Me or Let It Snow? I haven’t read either of those, but they’re obviously holiday-related. XD (and I just realized both books have titles that are also Christmas songs…)
“Baby it’s Cold Outside” – Which book that you didn’t like would you sacrifice to a fire to warm yourself up in the cold?
I wouldn’t sacrifice any book if there was an alternative, but if I had to, I’d pick the book I DNF’d, Will Grayson, Will Grayson. I got about 75 pages in and I just didn’t like it. Or maybe Dream A Little Dream by Kerstin Gier, because even though I liked the premise and the first half, I found the second half to be was extremely disappointing and clichéd. I did finish it, but I believe I gave it 2/5 stars.
“Do you hear what I hear” – Which book do you think everyone should read?
There are a lot of books I could choose, but they’re all pretty popular. So I’m going to go with The Goddess Test by Aimée Carter. It’s a modern retelling of the Persephone myth, and it’s an amazing series. I’d totally recommend it! 😀
Georgia (Books and Other Miracles)
I have a lot of posts planned for the next few days! I hope you guys don’t mind! 🙂
Until next time- Olivia ❤
Note- no, there’s no reason that the tag was done in Christmas colors. I just felt extra festive. Don’t judge me! XD
