Top 5 Tuesday — Favorite Male Characters

Hi guys! I don’t have much of an intro today, just a lot of rambling about my choices (although I always ramble 😜). Today’s theme is my favorite male characters, because I thought that since I’ve done my favorite females, why not acknowledge the guys too? So that’s what I’m doing. Let’s get into it! 😄

5. Baz (Carry On by Rainbow Rowell) – I find Baz very amusing, and I loved him almost immediately after reading the first chapter in his POV. Not to mention, he and Simon are the cutest gay couple ever. ❤️

4. Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson & The Olympians by Rick Riordan) – I’ve loved Percy for years. He’s brave, sweet but sarcastic, and loyal. That opinion hasn’t changed in a long time, and I don’t think it ever will. He’ll always have a special spot on my favorite characters list, no matter what else I read and how many characters I meet. ❤️

3. Dorian Havilliard (Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas) – When I first read Throne of Glass, I couldn’t choose between Team Chaol and Team Dorian. I loved both of them equally, and I eventually started calling my neutrality “Team Daol.” But after reading Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows, my said neutrality decreased, and my love for Dorian increased. He was always so nice to Aelin, even though she was an assassin and even after she romanced (for lack of a better word) Chaol. Then they had that epic moment in QoS, and they still had such a casual, friendly relationship afterword. 🙂 ❤️

2. Rowan Whitethorn (Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas) – I love Dorian, but not quite as much as I love Rowan. He’s just an absolutely amazing character, and a perfect match (in my opinion, no hate please) for Aelin. I love how protective he is of her, and that he always goes along with what she’s doing after he realizes her mind won’t be changed. I feel really bad for him because of what happened with Lyria, and I’m happy he’s trying to move on. I didn’t like him until the last few chapters of Heir of Fire, but after that he quickly rose to my top five. ❤️

1. Étienne St. Clair (Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins) – I haven’t even finished the book yet, and I absolutely love Étienne. I might be kind of quick to decide (though in my defense I’m on chapter 37), but I can’t help but love him. He’s so sweet and happy, despite what he has to go through, and I think it’s cool that he’s a history nerd because not many lead guys are nerdy. I’m really hoping he doesn’t make a stupid move in the end, because that would most likely ruin him for me… although I shouldn’t be worried, because making jerk moves just isn’t what Étienne does. 😉❤️

So those are my top 5 favorite guys! Do we have any in common? ☺️

Until next time– Olivia 💗 (my Twitter)
