Hello! I know I’m most likely a little behind on this, but I just found out via the Divergent Instagram page that Ascendant is coming out in March of 2017. What’s Ascendant? I was under the impression that there would be an Allegiant Part 1 and an Allegiant Part 2, like many other final movies – Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Mockingjay… but apparently not. 😐

I wasn’t too pleased with the adaptation of Insurgent, although that may be just because I haven’t read the book in about a year and need to reread it. I liked it, but based on what I can recall, it was only moderately accurate to the book. Maybe (hopefully) Allegiant and Ascendant will be better – just as amazing as I thought Divergent was. If that’s the case, I suppose I could accept it. But if it’s not, I’ll be one of many unhappy fans.

And something else that’s bothering me… will Ascendant be what Allegiant Part 2 would’ve been? Or will all of that be crammed into Allegiant, so Ascendant can be an epilogue movie that the series never had?

I’m just really not sure about this whole situation. I know I could be pleasantly surprised with this change, but it could go badly, too. I guess the only way to find out is to wait for more news, and obviously the movies themselves. 😁
